Marilyn has a passion for stained glass which began many years ago during the 1980’s when she undertook a course of study at the London College of Building.
Moving back to the countryside some twenty years ago Marilyn continued to work in stained glass. Creating beautiful traditional leaded panels, with care and attention; each is a unique commission for private clients.
She is always keen to take time to discuss, or work with others on projects and some examples of her work in the “Gallery” can be seen around the Hampshire area as well as London and the south coast.
Alongside this she also began teaching stained glass techniques in local adult education centres in and around Hampshire.
Many of the hundreds of students she has taught over the years are either still enjoying this craft or are teaching the subject themselves.
Now teaching independently she now runs small successful workshops to promote stained glass. Supporting students from the introductory workshop through a number of pre-planned sessions to enable them to increase their skills and awareness of glass and its possibilities. These one day and weekend workshops are planned with creativity and fun in mind with a maximum of eight students per class to ensure everybody has plenty of one to one help and support throughout the day.
