I have been lucky enough to have attended a number of workshops with Marilyn. Each one has been thoroughly enjoyable. Marilyn has the ability to make you feel welcome and relaxed which enables you to work well. Her passion for her work and the materials comes through and is transferred to her students leading you to produce beautiful items. I can’t wait for the next one.

We have really enjoyed the stained glass workshops. Marilyn is an excellent teacher, both in craft techniques and her ability to make the day relaxed and sociable. We have learnt new skills and lost our fear of handling glass. Marilyn’s enthusiasm and guidance enables all participants to take home beautiful pieces of work at the end of the day.

These classes are a great way to learn stained glass techniques in a fun and relaxed environment, and come home with a finished work of art at the end of the day!

Marilyn demonstrates all the techniques clearly and is on hand to assist as you try it for yourself for the first time. I have attended both copper foil and lead workshops with Marilyn and learnt a huge amount.

Although I knew little before the workshops, they have given me a grounding in the techniques needed and I have continued my stained glass hobby since attending these classes.

I was very impressed with Marilyn’s professionalism when she ran a series of workshops for staff at the hospital. She had considered all aspects of working safely and the sessions were well planned, allowing staff to progress at their own pace.

Marilyn’s knowledge and enthusiasm were clear as she guided participants in making their first tentative cuts on glass and creating designs for their light catcher. Everyone who attended was delighted with their finished piece and felt a real sense of achievement.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Marilyn as a workshop leader.’

I have only had the pleasure of attending one of Marilyn’s Stained Glass Workshops but I was very impressed by her very professional attitude to all areas of the Workshop and by her pleasant, relaxed teaching style. Even students new to the craft were quickly put at ease and this enabled them to quickly learn the new skills which meant that they were able to take home a self-made glass ornament.

Marilyn is a skilled and inspirational teacher whose good organisational skills and love of her craft ensure that all her students make good progress in the Workshops, as well as enjoying them.

Marilyn is also very attentive to the individual needs of her students and is always ready to offer specialist tools, or tips for cutting etc., so that difficulties can be overcome and safety assured.

I cannot wait to attend another Stained Glass Workshop!

“Thank you very much for our stained glass window. It really is a great improvement and looks super. I had thought that we would appreciate it during daylight but at night with the lights on behind it from both sides makes it appear equally as good…

It has been a pleasure to discuss the design with you and hear more about your skills…

I am sure we will become very proud of ‘our’ window…It is beautiful.”

I just wanted to send a huge thank you for the workshop on Saturday. I am loving this glass thing and I think you put together a very fine group of women – there was some lovely humour in the room. I do hope they get the addiction too and I can meet them at more of your workshops.

I noticed quite a change in my glass skills this time. I felt I made great leaps in confidence in cutting glass and my accuracy in grinding. So thank you. My soldering needs some work, but I plan to come to as many of your workshops as I can to improve that 🙂

See you at the Terrarium workshop!

I made this Stained Glass Panel at one of Marilyn’s weekend workshops. It was my second out of three visits and was as enjoyable as the others. Marilyn is an inspiring teacher with an encouraging attitude making the course a delight. I am waiting for the next adventure.
